BEAST MAKE BOMB COVERS HARVEY DANGER

Last week Pretty Much Amazing premiered Brooklyn-based Beast Make Bomb’s cover of the Harvey Danger pop-punk classic “Flagpole Sitta”. PMA stated, “Frontwoman Ceci Gomez wails like an even brattier Kim Deal; her band’s background chug is relentless and danceable; the whole package will be stuck in your head for the rest of your life.”

MTV PREMIERES NEW VIDEO FROM SAID THE WHALE “JESSE, AR”

Said the Whale’s video for “Jesse, AR” was premiered on MTV.ca in Canada and MTV Soundtrack here in the States. The video features the band lighting up the night with explosive drum kits, sparklers, artillery shells and some impressive roman candle drumsticks.

Canadian indie-rock quartet Les Jupes had the video of their latest single “If This Is The Light” premiered on Seattle tastemaker site Sound on the Sound. The group has been touring the U.S. with a showcase at SXSW, and additional stops in Chicago, Denver, Portland, and Seattle.

PREMIRE FOR SAID THE WHALE’S “BIG SKY, MT” VIDEO ON CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

Said the Whale (@SaidtheWhale) are preparing for their March 6 album release of Little Mountain (Hidden Pony/EMI) by regularly offering videos as exclusives, coinciding with 13 of the 15 album tracks. The video for “Big Sky, MT” is the first U.S. premiere and second in the series, and has been unveiled via Consequence of Sound (@CoSLive). The storyline closely follows the vivid lyrical imagery of the song, which depicts the unconditional love between a child and its grandfather. This follows last week’s debut of the iPhone-inspired video for“We Are 1980” via Exclaim. The band partnered with Vancouver-based production company Amazing Factory to help them re-imagine their songs into vignettes, and eleven more are set to debut each Tuesday through the arrival of Said the Whale’s third full-length, and beyond.
